How long is a class?
Absolute Yoga classes run for 1hr 15mins. You will leave feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to face the world.
What to wear
Whatever you find comfortable and are easily able to move in.
Most students practice barefoot, however this is optional. It’s good to have warm clothing and socks for relaxation, some people also like to bring a blanket.
I am not flexible – can I do yoga?
Absolutely! Yoga enhances flexibility and is an excellent remedy for areas of tightness in the body. Regular yoga practice will help you become more flexible, balancing strength, co-ordination and cardiovascular health creating a feeling of overall well-being.
How often should I practice?
Yoga is amazing – even if you only practice for one hour a week, you will notice the benefits of the practice. You may find that after a while your desire to increase your practice happens naturally.
Eating before class
It is best not to practice on a full stomach. The body takes 1 hour to digest a light snack and 3 hours for a full meal.
A number of yoga mats and blocks are provided in class or if you already own your own mat, please feel free to bring it along.
As your practice develops, you may find you prefer to have your own personal mat that you become used to practising on during class or at home. Mats are available to purchase at Absolute Yoga, please enquire at class or drop me an email.
